This is a sound data visualization project that focuses on the various noises in life,I try to use programming methods so that more people concerned about the noise.

Noise is unwanted sound judged to be unpleasant, loud or disruptive to hear.

From a physics standpoint, noise is indistinguishable from sound, as both are vibrations through a medium, such as air or water. The difference arises when the brain receives and perceives a sound.

RESEARCH

Exposure to noise is associated with several negative health outcomes.

Depending on duration and level of exposure, noise may cause or increase the likelihood of hearing loss, high blood pressure, ischemic heart disease, sleep disturbances, injuries, and even decreased school performance. There are also causal relationships between noise and psychological effects such as annoyance, psychiatric disorders, and effects on psychosocial well-being.

Noise exposure has increasingly been identified as a public health issue.

Frequently disturbed by noise

77% of people are occasionally

or often troubled by noise.

Noise sources that affect life

Noise comes from all aspects of people's lives

Aspects of noise impact

Noise has a greater impact on people's moods.

NOSICE-CHAT.png

A considerable number of people respond strongly to sharp, harsh sounds. Irregular sharp metal, glass, and other materials friction collisions are most likely to cause emotional fluctuations.

People are exposed to the noise environment, emotionally prone to irritability and anxiety, and believe that it is easy to bring physical tension and discomfort

Sound Visualization

Video Capture

Visualize the sound waves by programming the original material and reconstruct the distortedpicture effect.

The red color in the image is sound wave. The more exaggerated the red color, the more the sound sounds sharper and harsher.

Capture the reaction of the person watching the video, record the changes in the process of watching the video, and then pixelate the image using Processing.

In human physiology and psychology, noises are the reception of such waves and their perception by the brain.

EXPERIENT

I invited some people to feel the noise and gradually increase the volume during the experiment,

and recorded the reaction of their ears covering their ears through camera capture with processing.
